Hello! My name is Tessa and I am the creator of this studio, and writer/director of Dancing with Mortals. During my senior year, I was faced with the decision of going to a university to learn filmmaking and directing, and taking that path to my eventual goals. Or, as you might have already guessed, the option that I picked. To start my own studio, write my own scripts, and join in the incredible community of artists and indie filmmakers already out there creating their projects, doing what I love here and now.
So that’s what this is, storytelling through movies is everything that I love, and I feel so lucky to wake up every day and get to write and make films. Studio NightLight is my place to create these films. For now in the beginning of my career, I have just enough budget to work solo, but as time goes on I plan to hire real crew for my projects.
Currently at Studio Nightlight I am working on Dancing with Mortals, a 35 minute 2D/3D animated film. If you like filmmaking, indie animation, art and storytelling of any kind, or are simply interested in the community and watching movies, please join in the fun! On the home page I do have some pieces of art that were created by artists outside of the studio, pieces that inspire me to give an idea of the tone and visual style of the film! This art is not mine, and I will always credit the real artist. If you see art credited incorrectly, let me know. Or if you see your art on here and you want it removed, please send me an email and I will take it down immediately.
